Description:
Hot work tool steel with high hardness, tensile strength, resistant to fracturing at high temperatures. Good thermal conductivity. Care is needed when cooling with water.
Applications:
Hot work tools & dies adapted to heavy-duty service, mainly for processing of light alloys: mandrels, dies and containers for extruding metal pipes & bars. Hot extrusion equipment. Tools & dies for production of hollowed-out housings, screws, rivets, nuts & bolts. Die casting equipment, dies, die inserts, hot cutting blades and plastic moulding dies.
