Multistal's Machine Park: Industrial Steel Cutting to Size
Multistal’s machine park includes 30 highly specialized, state-of-the-art machines, including band saws (vertical and horizontal) and CNC flame cutting machines. These machines enable the cutting of bars, plates, and blocks made of tool steel, alloy steel, and wear-resistant steel with diameters up to 1000 mm, a cross-section of 1200 mm by 1400 mm, and a cutting length of 6000 mm.

Band Saw Cutting and Thermal Steel Cutting
Cutting with band saws allows for high dimensional accuracy without interfering with the material’s structure. This process does not cause local overheating of the steel, which means there is no heat-affected zone (HAZ), thermal stresses, or changes in the mechanical properties of the material. This is particularly important for tool steels, alloy steels, and materials intended for further heat treatment.
The offer is complemented by thermal steel cutting, used especially in the production of shaped blanks. This technology enables the efficient manufacturing of components in line with the customer’s technical documentation and the PN-EN ISO 9013 standard, while maintaining high edge quality and optimal material utilization.

The efficient delivery of cutting and prefabrication services at Multistal is based not only on a modern machine park, but also on an extensive logistics organization. The company operates a network of warehouses and processing halls located in Poznań, Mikołów, and Slovakia, enabling effective inventory management and fast order fulfillment for customers throughout Poland and Europe.
Thanks to the strategic location of its branches and extensive stock levels, Multistal is able to respond quickly to market needs and provide a full range of quality steel.
A key role in this process is played by the automated high-bay warehouse, from which bars are automatically retrieved and fed directly to the CNC cutting machines. This integration of warehousing and processing eliminates the intermediate material transport stage and significantly shortens order fulfillment time.
Combining warehousing and processing in a single operational chain enables:
- Immediate transfer of material to production: the order goes straight to the cutting machine upon receipt, without waiting in the warehouse queue.

Machine Park Equipment: CNC and Conventional Band Saws
The machine park consists of 30 units, including numerically controlled (CNC) machines equipped with technologies that guarantee repeatable, precise cutting.
The use of automated processing systems ensures high dimensional repeatability and maintains the perpendicularity of cut surfaces. The processing uses high-quality bimetallic cutting blades, characterized by high wear resistance and the ability to cut materials of varying hardness.
In addition, all key machines are equipped with:
- automatic hydraulic vices to stabilize the material during cutting,
- coolant-lubricant dosing systems,
- tool load monitoring systems,
- drive overload protection,
- electronic systems for monitoring operating parameters.
Continuous cooling of the cutting zones improves surface quality, extends tool life, and increases the stability of the technological process.
CNC Flame Cutting Machines, Plasma and Oxy-Fuel Sheet Cutting
The range of band saws is complemented by modern CNC flame cutting machines designed for cutting sheet metal parts using plasma and oxy-fuel cutting technology. Combining both methods allows the production process to be tailored to the steel grade, material thickness, and requirements of the finished component.
Thanks to numerical control, virtually any shape can be produced in accordance with the customer’s technical documentation. The flame cutting machines produce both simple blanks and complex structural details, machine parts, components for industrial equipment, and parts intended for further mechanical processing or welding.
Plasma cutting technology is used primarily for manufacturing components that require high precision and good edge quality. Oxy-fuel cutting, on the other hand, enables the economical processing of very thick steel plates.
